snails are born with their very own soft shell that later grows tougher into those swirled beauties we find.
they grow their own homes on their back similar to how we grow our nails. isn’t that wild if you really stop for a minute and think about it? think about how many snail shells you find just on the beach when you’re walking…each one a snail’s home at one point.

wonderings and walks with sarah brought about these kinds of conversations on our usual stomping grounds in narragansett, rhode island yesterday morning.
it was a brisk 30 degree breezy day. the light was just right showing off the sparkles, cracks, and colors in the rocks. i was fascinated and got back to the roots a little bit yesterday. i hope you enjoy!
