Anniversary Session in Acadia National Park

Acadia National Park is a special place to Victoria and Colton since that area is where they got engaged! They invited me along one evening on their 2 year wedding anniversary trip to document a walk along the coast of the park in October.

We decided to head to the coastline since they both loved the ruggedness of the rocks and ocean — all the while chatting about the two of them and their first couple of years married.

AN EVENING IN ACADIA NATIONAL PARK IN THE FALL

In response to a few questions I sent before their session, they shared how much they love being in nature together in all seasons, and one sentence in particular stood out to me going into our session:

“We are super goofy with each other and each other's best friends. We both wish each other could see ourselves through our partner's eyes.”

When going about a session like this, I’m looking at how you naturally move together — your expressions and your movements with each other. Less than a photoshoot and more of a walk together.

BRINGING IN ELEMENTS THAT MATTER TO YOU

Victoria is a professional photographer herself so I knew bringing in a disposable camera would be a fun addition to the time. I had a few captures left on it and knew they belonged to these two. So I handed it off to them towards the end of our time!

ANNIVERSARY PORTRAITS BY A LOCAL MAINE DOCUMENTARY STYLE PHOTOGRAPHER

Looking to for a session that feels like a celebration of your relationship rather than a photoshoot? If you’re searching for an Acadia National Park photographer who will prioritize presence over posing, emotion over perfection, and connection over aesthetics, I’d be honored to document your story!

Thank you for being here!

I’m Sienna, the owner and photographer behind Sienna Renee Photography. Based out of Maine, I approach wedding days and families with a documentary eye. I value genuine connection and getting to know you and your people to capture you as you are.
