Peace, Love & Waffles - Dover-Foxcroft, Maine

From beginning to end, the experience at Peace, Love & Waffles in Dover-Foxcroft sure is true to its name.

I met the owner, Michael Begley, and the crew on a December day while on assignment for DownEast Magazine to photograph and enjoy (lucky me!) their delicious waffles and drinks. Greeted with thoughtful details and beautifully built tables warmed by the sun from the surrounding windows, I immediately felt cozy.

I melted with the Tree Hugger waffle — a Belgian waffle with greek yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, and nuts. The perfect amount of sweetness! The Red Flannel was another favorite — a cornbread waffle with house-made corned beef, potatoes, and pickled beets for the folks out there who like a heartier beginning to their days.

On warmer days, there’s an outdoor space complete with picnic tables and a drinking area for your pups! If you’re looking for a joyful breakfast/brunch spot in the Dover-Foxcroft area, give Peace, Love & Waffles a visit.
