So, you might be on the search for your wedding photographer — what a beautiful time! Thank you for being here. Maybe you’ve been scrolling through photographer after photographer, wondering something like:

Will they really see us? Will they care about our people the way we do? Will the camera feel like a barrier or an invitation?

I completely understand, and I know how personal and important it is to hire a photographer for your day. As a Maine wedding photographer, my goal is to document honest images that let you relive your wedding celebration for years to come. This post is here to help you get a clear idea of what to expect when you hire me to document your day.

FOR THE COUPLES WHO WANT THEIR WEDDING DAY TO FEEL LIKE HOME

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re hoping for a wedding day that isn’t a performance, but a celebration of who you are and who surrounds you. Perhaps you're planning a few days away with the people you love, or envisioning a wedding that feels less like an event and more like a reunion and a recognition of how far you’ve come together, and where you’re headed next.

THIS IS HOW IT ALL BEGINS — FROM INQUIRY TO INITIAL CALL

When you reach out, the first thing we’ll do is set up a time to talk, not about timelines or posing, but about you. We’ll chat about your story, your people, and your ideas for the weekend. I’d love to know what matters most to you on your wedding day. We’ll talk about what that looks like in terms of documenting your day, and I’ll walk you through the experiences I offer that best align with what excites you.

I’m here to help with ideas, advice, and guidance to help your day flow with ease. I’ll listen closely and help you create space for what really matters to you.

“From our first zoom meeting with Sienna (we live out of state, but got married in Maine) we knew we wanted her to document our day. Sienna was so personable from the beginning, showing interest and care in our story and our wedding ideas and plans.”

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MY APPROACH

You’re inviting someone into your wedding day — into the hugs, the joy, and the quiet in-betweens. It is an honor to be invited into that space, and I don’t take that lightly. I’ll get to know you and your people so that by the time your day comes, you forget the camera is there.

With a documentary style, I will be there to anticipate and capture those moments that would mean most to you and your loved ones for years to come, so that you can just be. From the very beginning, I prioritize bringing a calming, supportive presence to help make that possible.

“There are very few photographers that can capture the authenticity and emotion of an individual moment enough to transport you back to the moment itself. Sienna is one of these rare gifted people that brings life to photography like I've never seen before.”

— Charlotte & Reuben

Hey, it’s me! Right on the trail just behind the camp that has been in my husband’s family for decades — it’s also where we read our vows to each other on our wedding day.

“Sienna was absolutely lovely to work with. She was flexible, easy to work with, and an absolute artist with her photography. I can't say I feel the most comfortable in front of a camera but she made me feel very at ease.”

WHAT IS THE PROCESS LIKE?

  1. Inquiring If your date is available, I will reach out to hop on a call to get to know you and your partner! If I am booked, I will send photographers your way who document weddings with a similar approach.

  2. Booking – We’ll chat via Zoom together and if it feels like we are a great fit, I’ll send a contract, collect a retainer to hold your date, and we’ll be official!

  3. Dates along the way We’ll have dates and check-ins scheduled until your wedding day arrives to talk through ideas and updates.

  4. Wedding day arrives Time to celebrate with your people!

  5. Post wedding day – A set of previews will hit your inbox within 72 hours. Your full gallery will be in your hands within 8 weeks of your wedding day. If you order an album, I’ll send you a questionnaire to understand the details of your dream album then I’ll get to designing!

  6. Album delivery – Before your album arrives on your doorstep, I will look over it to be sure all is perfect.

  7. Beyond – No matter how many years have gone by, I’m here to help with questions about your gallery, album, and images in general.

“She was proactive and so responsive throughout the planning process. She even found time in the months before our date to scope out some preserves and trails for couple photos.”

WHAT ABOUT THE SMALL STUFF (THAT FEELS BIG)?

  • Worried about the weather? I’ll have backup plans, and I’ll capture the emotions and details that make up your day, no matter the weather. Every kind of weather brings its own charm to photographs, and, it’s all a part of the story of your day!

  • Is it “too small” to photograph? No way. Some of the richest, most emotional galleries I’ve delivered have come from intimate celebrations. When the focus is on you and your loved ones, there are so many meaningful details to capture.

  • Will the camera be in the way? I’m there, but not in the middle. I’ll be quietly capturing moments as they happen — encouraging you if you need a little support, and keeping my eye out for honest portraits of your loved ones.

  • What if something doesn’t go according to plan? In my 10+ years of photographing weddings, I’ve seen quite a bit! Weather shifts, outfit SOS, and everything in between. If these things happen, I’m here to support. Beyond photographing, I’m there to encourage you and help in any way I can. I have also learned that all of the ‘mishaps’ are a part of a couple’s story. This is when couples see their loved ones rally, encourage each other, and show up in ways that offer a beautiful opportunity to capture all the real-life goodness.

“Not only is she a great photographer but she is a wonderful person and we loved just having her around! She was such a light and consistently positive throughout the entire process and it made what can be a stressful day, so much more relaxing.”

— Ashley & Garrick

YOUR STORY, HONESTLY TOLD

Your wedding weekend isn’t a production — it’s a gathering filled with years of stories and connection. You deserve photos that reflect that. If you're dreaming of something intentional, real, and soaked in love, and you're looking for someone who cares as much as you do, I’d be honored to be part of it.

Thank you for being here!
