Home Portraits

As strange as this sounds, it can be tough to intentionally put aside time and create portraits of the people closest to me.
In this slower season, while visiting home, there was this gorgeous space that opened up in my brain when thinking about why I do what I do that brought me to asking my mom if I could photograph her.
I enjoy the simplicity of close portraits of folks. It feels like a purely intimate time.
Sitting in the doorway of an old shed on her property, we spent about 20 minutes chatting while I photographed.
Thank you to my sweet momma for trusting me and stepping in front of my camera.
