Maine's Coast on Film

Some moments of life these days on film —
featuring the coast of Maine.

When I was in high school, I took a class on film and loved it. It felt oh so romantic and helped me begin to touch on understanding my camera’s settings and the control I had on how a photograph translates.

I bought a Canon Elan II in June 2022 just for fun and to reignite that romantic spark that comes along with the process of film (while also giving me the ability to use my fancy glass ($$$)!

The sounds, the anticipation, the slowness of film is joyful.

I tend to underexpose when I photograph digitally, and to see how film reacts to that is interesting! To switch up a pattern my brain is so used to is going to be fun. A renewed spark to a passion I’ve had for 15+ years.
